Abstract

The main objective of this research was to select a suitable model for the rainfall data of Trichy and Perambalur districts; to predicts the nature of rainfall for the next 16 years for each district; and to get the average amount of rainfall in the four seasons. Data was collected from the district statistical office of Trichy and Perambalur districts. The data is collected month wise rainfall in mm from 2000 to 2013. The following Statistical tools are used for the analysis of data. 1. Seasonal variations, 2. Markov Chain analysis, 3. ARIMA Model.
